Education, applications, education… and yet more applications.

After gaining an honours degree in Industrial Design (Engineering), worked for six years for injection and thermoforming trade moulder, North West Plastics, designing a wide range of products. For next nine years, worked in Amsterdam for Borg Warner Chemicals, the world's leading ABS manufacturer, nursing scores of new applications into being and many others that had become sick.

Returned to UK to run Development section of the trade thermoformer, Thompson Plastics, before becoming in-house plastics specialist for Cussons (International) for nine years.

Sailed the choppy waters of higher education as Senior Lecturer in Product Design and Design Studies at Nottingham Trent University, then launched POLYnnovation Consultancy.

Spent fifteen months helping JCB launch new plastics-rich flagship machine.

Currently open to all reasonable, legal offers of new consultancy contracts. Also member of Polymer Design Group of the IOM3.

Keen cornet player, when time permits, having brought glorious discord into bands such as Brighouse & Rastrick and Besses o'th' Barn.
