I am currently employed at Manchester Metropolitan University in the Department of Chemistry and Materials, lecturing in Polymer Chemistry.

Other academic interests include chemical analysis. Previous academic experience includes researching into polymer fibres, polymer blends, and antimicrobial coatings for plastic,metal and ceramic surfaces.

Previous industrial experience includes manufacturing polymer emulsions, development of non-woven fabrics, development and technical sales of plastic films for packaging, plus research, development and manufacture of printed transfers for ceramic tiles and tableware.
